The birth of your dreams is waiting.
The Midwives Model of Care is based on the fact that pregnancy and birth are normal life processes, and includes monitoring the physical, psychological, and social well-being of the mother throughout the childbearing cycle.
"It's never too late to change providers
until you're crowning." ~ Anita Woods, CPM
Research indicates "among low-risk women, planned midwife-led home births result in low rates of interventions without an increase in adverse outcomes for mothers and babies."
More than a routine clinical event, prenatal care could be an hour or more of physical, spiritual, and emotional support, followed by information regarding nutrition, health/wellness, and each available test or procedure, with the mother having the right of free choice or denial.
Your baby will never leave your sight. Baby is weighed right with you and the newborn exam completed with baby in your arms. The goal is a slow postpartum where motherbaby as a unit are the focus. Daddy-catch, lotus birth, and cord burning are all supported and encouraged.
Late transfers welcome!
